Notes:
Conwood is a Paola Lenti’s exclusive material that is produced in a thickness suitable to allow the manual weaving of Kiori seating and screens. This material guarantees good mechanical resistance but, if subjected to anomalous and repetitive stress, can crack or split, compromising this way not only the aesthetic appearance of the product, but also its functionality. Traction, excessive pressure and torsion movements, especially if performed on the individual strips, are to be absolutely avoided in order to prevent damages that could be irreversible and unrepairable.

The sassafras wood and the strips of ash wood Abonos™ are treated to be water and oil-repellent with waterbased products that limit the absorption of liquids and greasy substances.

Abonos™ is a wood of fluvial origin characterized by a thousand-year permanence in the water, where it was transformed through the action of sediments such as gravel, sand and clay. The series of chemical mutations, to which it has been subjected by nature has made each trunk a unique piece, in colour and design, without this affecting its structural qualities of hardness and resistance.

This product can be used also in interior environments.

We advise to use a Winter Set protection cover.

Designed by the Israeli architect Pitsou Kedem, who has already created the Mirror Lines collection for MDF Italia and signed several stunning residential projects, it is a dynamic product that adapts to every requirement and allows you to divide working spaces and home environments. At the same time, it maintains the sense of contiguity between adjacent rooms and creates suggestive and elegant perceptions.

Divide IT is a furniture complement that moves easily and can change position at any time the user wishes. Available in two different sizes, it is composed of several panels which, rotating on an axis of 360 degrees, can be positioned to determine the passage of light and sound.
This rotation allows for endless possibilities of partition, transition, and diffusion.

A simple solution, still with strong identity: used individually or in combination with other dimensional and color variations, it allows you to create new spaces within environments without resorting to a fixed separation

The natural wood surface is not covered by resin on the section planes since alcarol always use a selective wood coating with a matt natural effect.

For this collection alcarol recovered some discarded logs from the undergrowth of the Italian Dolomite mountains; then cuts planks, preserving the natural bark surface and live edges with their mosses and lichens, which are encased in a special resin resembling the water that generated their life, while the section planes remain uncovered to give the possibility to appreciate warmth and matt porosity from natural wood.
The project engages with the alcarol concept of environmental cross-section. By filling the gaps with resin, alcarol achieves a new functionality freezing time at the end of the material’s cycle and giving it a new life before it dissolves into the ecosystem.Moss _ Screen is made of four SOLID WOOD boards, obtained by sawing dead trees with their natural MOSSES, preserved in EXTRACLEAR RESIN resembling the winter ice that blocked the fungal activity. Screen is dotated of concealed hinges in BURNISHED BRASS, with 180° opening angle.

For the Fungi collection, alcarol has selected dead trees and abandoned logs from Italian Dolomite forest in order to reveal the surprising texture inside the matter of the tree created by the growth of fungi. These organisms attack the trees at the end of their life cycle, creating in the wood beautiful color changes, with regions of discoloration and intricate patterns of amazing dark lines, that look like free-form art drawn with a calligraphy pen.
alcarol main action is sectioning, and when the saw has finished his work our eyes can see the hidden world of Nature. With an aim to capture the fungal metamorphic instant by freezing time at the end of the tree’s life cycle, alcarol employs experimental processes to preserve the raw material exactly as it appears in its original habitat.
While the wood in section planes remains uncovered, the natural wood live edges are frozen in a special extraclear resin resembling the ice that in winter blocked the fungal activity. The transient beauty of Nature becomes eternal.
