Conceived by Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis for Acerbis, the Lokum side tables distill the art of blown glass into quietly luminous form. Known for her poetic command of reflective surfaces and color, Marcelis shapes amber and smoky hues into rectangular and square silhouettes that shift with the light, casting subtle interplays of shadow and warmth. Minimalist in profile yet rich in material presence, Lokum works beautifully as a standalone accent or grouped for a layered, custom arrangement.

Fisheye EXCL Stool

10 years after the first presentation of the classic FishEye Stool alcarol present FishEye EXCL. Stool _ Limited Edition.

It is made with the same materials (wooden poles of Venice encased in translucent resin like lagoon water) but with a completely different effect.

For the making of FishEye EXCL. alcarol has exaggerated the reaction of the resin to emphasize the formation of internal cracks like those of a frozen lagoon and also frozen air bubbles released from the cavities that make this wood so unique all over the world.

Rapolano Console

The Italian town of Rapolano in the Sienese lands has been known since the ancient Romans who went there to take the thermal baths in its hot springs, and Rapolano Travertine rock was known since the ancient Etruscan times as a building material.
Rapolano Travertine is a sedimentary rock formed by the precipitation of carbonate minerals from solution in ground waters, often at the mouth of a hot spring or in a limestone cave. In the latter, it can form stalactites, stalagmites, and other speleothems.
It often has a fibrous or concentric appearance and exists in white, tan, cream-colored, and even rusty varieties that distinguish it from any other Travertine in the world.
alcarol -in collaboration with Vaselli- retrieved pieces of this eroded Travertine rock and has preserved its cavities marked by time using a transparent resin resembling the water in which these rocks lay submerged through various eras.
