]]> A legendary design has been featured in Hollywood classics including Diamonds are Forever and The Italian Job, Arco is a design icon that has been in constant production since its debut in 1962. The modern arc floor lamp considered a design classic. The famed Castiglioni brothers spared no detail when they created it, from the beveled corners of its genuine Carrera marble base (designed not to hurt should you brush against them) to the strategic hole that allows for easy lifting of the base.FEATURESThe base supports a spun aluminum reflector via a curved stainless steel adjustable stem, allowing the lamp to offer both direct and indirect light. The height extends to almost 7-feet, allowing for easy placement of a couch or table underneath.Stainless steel finish. Available in LED or incandescent INSPIRATION BEHIND THE DESIGNThe Castiglioni brothers drew their inspiration for the Arco lamp from something they saw every day: a streetlight. Using commercially available parts, they set out to design a piece that was technically innovative and visually appealinga lamp that was functional but wouldnt need to be stepped around. They finished it with a marble base, knowing that the same weight would take up less space, allowing the Arco to live innot take overthe room it illuminated.

]]> First designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1984, the Stylos floor lamp illuminates with a striking simplicity that is anything but ordinary. A halogen floor lamp lights the column at its base, and an incandescent light provides additional diffused lighting that glows through the top. Each bulb is operated via a separate on/off switch, and the metallic base is finished with silver and weighted to prevent toppling. The halogen lamp source emits diffused and reflected light. Inspiration behind the design: Designer Achille Castiglioni drew his inspiration from the ordinary – the everyday materials that are a part of daily life. His philosophy of “less is more” is evident in his designs, hallmarked by the minimalist use of materials to craft larger than life pieces.

]]> Constellation was designed by American architect and designer David Rockwell. He is the founder of the Rockwell Group, a cross-disciplinary architecture and design firm based in New York City. In fact, it is the city’s sky at night that informs the Constellation collection’s design.The Grand Central Terminal, with its expansive celestial ceiling mural, is the perfect space to house the Constellation collection’s uplifting visitors from their daily commute to an ethereal spatial experience. The collection offers a ceiling lamp, a wall sconce and a floor lamp, each representing Cassiopeia, Orion’s Belt and Polaris respectively. Hand-crafted metal connects the luminaires in each unique piece, allowing onlookers to feel as if they are staring up into a starry, night sky. Each piece is modular and offered in bespoke configurations. Wherever displayed, the light becomes the focal point of the space, evoking awe and wonder.

]]> Amanita is a reading lamp by Mariana Pellegrino Soto consisting of two discs: the first, the slimmest, functions as the base, while the second and thicker of the two houses the LED bulb. The two metal discs are connected and spaced by a slim, oblique stem in the shape of a ‘Z’.

The same design, with revised proportions and modified materials and finishes, is also offered in its outdoor version. Amanita is transformed from reading lamp to an elegant outdoor path-light. The Indian brown finish of this version, together with its stylish silhouette, make it an object destined to grace the most refined gardens and public spaces.
